Frequently Asked Questions
The straighter your teeth are, the less wear and tear you place on your teeth, gums, and jaw. Straighter teeth can handle biting and chewing without problems arising. Of course lots of people have their teeth straightened for cosmetic reasons alone.

Braces for adults can take slightly longer than they would for a child or teenager. Because children are still growing, this can help make the treatment time slightly quicker.

As the braces begin to work, a person may experience a small amount of discomfort as the teeth are pushed into a better alignment. The discomfort goes away after a few days.

It is best to brush after each meal, be sure to gently massage your gums at the same time. The brackets and bands should remain bright and shiny. It’s important to maintain good oral hygiene to avoid permanent white scars on your teeth, cavities/tooth decay, and gum disease or bone loss.
